Common Questions

Which option should I choose?
Use Enlarge for photos that look good but are too small, Repair for everyday photos that look soft, grainy or blocky, Anime & Art for anime, cartoons, illustrations and drawings, and Revive for tiny, old or badly damaged photos. Not sure? Tap Not sure which to choose? in the app, or simply try another option and compare.

Why does Revive need a download?
Revive uses a much larger AI model, so it is downloaded once from Apple's servers the first time you choose it. The other options are included in the app. To free the space again, open Settings in the app and remove the Revive download.

Revive changed small details in my photo.
Revive paints in new detail that the original no longer has, so small text and faces can look different. For a result that stays closer to the original, try Repair or Enlarge.

Why can't I choose a larger size?
The largest size depends on your device's memory. TrueSharp shows the biggest size your device can handle for each photo as Largest.

It says there isn't enough memory.
Close other apps and try again, or choose a smaller size.

Should I save as HEIF or PNG?
HEIF looks the same and takes about a tenth of the space, so it is the best choice for most photos. PNG keeps every pixel exactly, but files can be ten times larger. You can change it in Settings in the app.

Can I enhance several photos at once?
Yes. Choose up to 50 photos, and TrueSharp enhances them one after another. Save All adds them to your photo library.

Are my photos uploaded?
No. TrueSharp processes your photos only on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.
